According to Burgas Airport, Bus No. 15 connects the airport area with Sunny Beach bus station. From there, passengers must change to another bus or minibus or taxi travelling towards their hotel in Sunny Beach.

2. Travel to Sunny Beach Bus Station.

4. Continue from the Sunny Beach bus station to your hotel.

The full trip can take approximately 1½–2 hours, and possibly longer if you have to wait for the connecting service – bus stops on many bus stops and can take ages.

Always check the latest official Bus No. 15 timetable before travelling. Some services operate as Line 15A and may use the airport roundabout rather than entering the terminal area.

Who should choose the bus?

The public bus works best for solo travellers and couples arriving during the day with light luggage and no urgent hotel check-in arrangements.

For a family or larger group, the inconvenience of changing buses and then travelling from the resort station to the hotel may outweigh the saving.

Option 2: Taxi from Burgas Airport

A taxi offers a direct journey from the airport to Sunny Beach without changing vehicles.

Burgas Airport states that a 24-hour official taxi service is available, but very often there are no enough cars or even zero cars at evenings. The designated provider’s yellow vehicles can be found outside Terminal 2, with representatives also available at the official taxi counter. What to check before leaving

Before entering any taxi, confirm:

• The approximate final price(usually is high)
• Whether the journey will use a meter or fixed fare
• The exact hotel or apartment address
• Whether card payment is accepted
• Whether additional luggage charges apply
• Whether the vehicle has enough space for everyone
• Try to make photo of the car plate number, so you can find him later if you forget something

Use the official taxi desk or designated rank. Avoid accepting transport from an unknown person approaching you elsewhere in the terminal without clear company identification or pricing.

• VAR means Varna Airport

Burgas is the closest major airport to Sunny Beach. Varna Airport is considerably farther away and requires a longer transfer.

It is surprisingly common for travellers to request a Burgas transfer before realising that their flight lands in Varna. Checking the airport code takes only a few seconds and prevents major problems on arrival.

Returning from Sunny Beach to Burgas Airport

Your return journey should also be arranged in advance.

Do not calculate the pickup time using only the driving time. You should also allow for:

• Airline check-in requirements -you should be at airport 2h before flight time
• Security queues
• Summer road traffic
• Stops at other entrances within a large hotel complex
