As of 8 September 2026, daytime temperatures are expected to remain pleasantly warm, with plenty of potential for beach time, exploring and evenings out.

But there is an important change showing in some forecasts for next week.

🌦️ What Happens Next Week?

The temperature isn’t the problem — Sunny Beach is expected to stay warm. Across the three forecasts checked on 8 September, daytime highs generally remain in the mid-20s through most of the next two weeks.

The uncertainty is the rain. Sinoptik keeps highs around 24–27°C but introduces cloud and possible short showers from 14–19 September. Weather.com stays milder, showing mainly sunny or partly cloudy conditions through 20 September and its first explicit shower signal on 21 September. Timeanddate is more pessimistic, with a higher risk of showers or thunderstorms on 15–16 and 18–19 September.

That does not mean a week of continuous rain. The forecasts disagree on exactly how wet the period will be, and long-range forecasts can change quickly. The sensible takeaway is: warm weather still looks likely; rainfall remains uncertain.

🏖️ Is It Still Beach Weather in September?

Yes — on a warm and sunny day, absolutely.

Temperatures in the mid-20s can still make for excellent beach weather, especially without the extreme summer heat of July and August.

September can also be a lovely time to explore. Walking around Old Nessebar or along the coast is much more comfortable when it isn’t extremely hot outside.

📅 What About the End of September?

It’s still too early to give an accurate day-by-day forecast for the final week of September.

Long-range weather apps may show temperatures or rain symbols several weeks ahead, but these can change substantially as the dates get closer. Historical averages are useful for context, but they are not a forecast for a particular day.

So don’t cancel a late-September holiday because an app appears to show cooler or wetter weather weeks in advance. Check again closer to your arrival.

Don’t pack as though you’re visiting Bulgaria in winter. 😄

Bring T-shirts and shorts, swimwear, sunglasses and sunscreen, but add comfortable shoes and a light jacket or jumper for cooler evenings. One light waterproof layer is also sensible, particularly later in the month.
